This website is dedicated to my father Qamar Jalalabadi whose real name was Shri OmPrakash Bhandari, a great poet, lyricist and story/screenplay writer from the 1940s right up to 1990s.
He was an idealistic human being, a misfit in the film world, but highly respected by those who knew him well.I have collected many memorablia from his life; movies featuring his songs and his many poems on this website.
I am youngest daughter of the great legend,and since 2004 have organized several Tribute Musical Programs under my Group Banner "Swar Sagarika Music Circle, Mumbai" so we may remember his work, cherish the moments that bring us nostalgia, and look back fondly at a time when the lyrics of the song touched not just your hearts,but your souls as well.
